League News:
New Year, New Members
The Metro League welcomes new members Florin High School and Valley High School. The addition of the new members promises to make the league well balanced and competitive. The league is also pleases with the full time return of Kennedy High School. The new eight team look of the Metro League should bring great competition and rivalries to the Sacramento area.
Fall Sports
The Fall sport season has started and games begin earlier than in years past. Football plays their 1st week games beginning September 3rd! For game information please click on the schedule tab. Also new this year is the concussion protocol designed to protect our athletes. If a concussion is suspected by the officials the athlete will be removed from competition and may not return to play that day. The athlete must receive a doctor's clearance before returning to competition.
Metro League Football continues to use DSV!
The Metro League members have purchased the Digital Sports Video system for football! This program will permit the trading of game film electronically and allow for the production of highlight films to be sent to interested colleges. This gives athletes in the league better exposure to college coaches. The coaches are happy with the new system and look forward to utilizing its features during the season.
